My dad bought them for this season, in a 175 I believe, and I rode them about a month ago and just now am getting around to telling the people of NS about my experience.

Now, I know some of you might hate becasue they are not a twintip buttery rockered sweet graphic ski. But they have a tension shifting knob which can switch the ski from softer to stiffer at the touch of a knob. These skis are fucking sick. They were like fighter jets of skis. Not quite a GS ski, and not quite a slalom ski, just a ski for all around power skiing. If you are into speed, and spend time out of the park actually skiing, i strongly suggest to try these skis. The graphics are like that of a deloreon; it is a giant mirror, which worked well becasue I am extremely good looking, and it just made my experience all the more badass.

If you do not know how to ski a ski, then you might not appriciate these things, and when I was with my dad when he bought them I was kinda attempting to discourage his purchase, believeing that the cost was too much for such a gay looking ski. After skiing them, I firmly believe that they are worth their price. Anyone else ride these baddogs?

sounds like a neet ski for old people.

kinda harsh of you to come on a site filled with people who ski park and believe that park skiing is real skiing times ten... maybe rethink that one.

Haha my dad just got those for this season. He loves them. They look fun for ripping on groomers I guess. But if I'm skiing groomers I'd rather just do it switch on my fujatives instead of getting some beastly ski. He would agree with you though for sure.

If I interprited your comment correctly, I am to assume that you are calling me out for calling it "real skiing". Which is what it is, its normal skiing. I would be the last person to talk shit on any kind of skiing, but I was attempting to clarify what these are for; not the arial/ballet skiing that is 'freestyle' skiing, but for just going down the mountain.

I havent boughten a pair of non-twintip skis in lilke 5 years, so don't tell me I disrespect this aspect of the sport. If people ski more than just park, they should understand what I am saying

yea i no what u mean if i didnt go throught he park every day i was out and i wanted to just do some solid skiing forwards that is i would get a pair of skis like that cause those hold an edge on ice like no other and they fucken rip down groomers better than any twin prob a ballin fun ski

Ya, skis like that are fun for groomers and shit. I used to have (well I still have them but I don't ski them anymore) a pair of Fischer RX8's, they are really stiff and hold an edge like none other, better than any twins I've ever used. They were fun for going like mach 7 on groomers when I was night skiing or whatever.

hey man, you wrote it, not me.

I dont do aerials. Or ballet. I do whats super fun at the moment going down hill. And what makes you think you couldnt be an arialist ballet machine on any ski out there?

Im not gonna llie, here in Wisconsin there are many nights that our ill maintained parks are rutted to shit, nights like those are when I will grab a pair of slalom or GS skis from our demo stock at work and rip the hill a new one. Id love to have a few runs at mach 10 out west on a set or WS SL skis.

Nothing shreds harder than a ski that was built to mach gnarly archs on groomers. I'd take those things over any twin for that kind of riding.

Sounds like a badass ski.................FOR GROOMERS! and ONLY groomers which is fun at first but after like 5 runs when you get bored of groomers and you wanna go hit some bumps or the park, your are fucked.

heres my opinion on the tigershark:

ive skied them twice at a volkl demo and my friend has a pair. I think they ski pretty well, but i never turned the knob two the other side to make them less stiff and floppier. Honestly, i think that the person who is investing 1200 ish on a pair of skis is not going to be turing the knob to the off position either. They are the kind of people who are lifetime skiers, rich people who ski every weekend at stratton or killington and own a house there. They usually know what theyre doing on skis, and i doubt that theyd want to switch the ski off at the end of the day when they could keep ripping. On the other hand, its a great system for people with arthritis or people over like 60, who dont have as much stamina anymore.

I believe the system is for changing snow conditions, while you are right, most people who will be buying the ski will know how to ski, and will be able to ski anything on anything, in addition to being able to rip a ski such as this. Though I think it is the novelty of the technology, the ability to change the performance of the ski that is neat.

What I noticed, and think, from my test, is that the softer setting is more for crud type conditions, when extra flex will allow for a smoother ride over a bunch of chopped up snow, and allow for more forgivness, while if you have a run of perfect solid groomers, the stiff setting is def. what you want.

In response to other previous posts, this ski is not for a park rat. Obviously it is not a twin tip, and not for skiing backwards, though I did ski it switch, and contrary to popular belief, you can ski switch on any ski, without too much problems. I have never cought a tail skiing backwards on directional skis (Obviously this does not apply towards all snow conditions). I was landing my first 540s on directional rossignal slalom skis, and never really had a second thought about it. this is perhaps for another argument though.

All in all, if you like to charge runs, I think you should give these skis a try, they are epic, and more powerful than any of my race skis prior.

i dont see the point of buying these kinds of skis because if you wanted to have fun on groomers then race skis would be better

the point is that its an extremely versatile ski. You change the stiffness of the ski by 25% either way. In the morning you can rip turns on the hardpack, then jump into the bumps when it softens up, then go down the race course with your buddies, and then teach your kids how to ski on the bunny slope...all on the same ski. Yes i agree it is insanely pricey, but its worth it if you like that kind of skiing. Oh this ski also comes without the power switch technology (without the ability to change stiffness) and it retails for slightly less money.

I skied the 12ft and it is an AMAZING ski. - Although I think powerswitch is a bit of a gimmick

I took them out for about 5 or 6 runs on a demo day. The powerswitch is totally gimmicky though.. i dont see why you would ever put it on the off setting anyway...

just like with the ski boots that have two different settings for flex... unessesary...

anyways.. yes.. this ski carves very well... not the best racing ski out there (I swear by stokli for racing), but still fairly good. its the number one racing ski in america apparently.. (at least as far as retail sales go..)

It was okay, but out of the few racing type carving skis i've demod this season and last... i'd rate it an 8/10. Stokli's racing ski destroyed this mofucker.. (mainly because its the actual ski the racers use... and seeing as I was barely worthy enough to use it, much less control it, makes me swear by that ski as the craziest rippin powerkarving race ski out there)

Either way... I got bored real fast skiing groomers... I quickly jumped right back on some huge fatty skis and started REALLY having fun.

Dude I think they are the biggest wait of money. Sorry to say but i think you could buy 2 pairs of skis for the same amount of money. But your a lucky bastard If your dad sinks that much money into you

you sound like someone that can't rip a fast ski. neat ski for old people? get a fucking clue kid.

kind of harsh for you to call the guy out for giving a review on a ski.

btw, i'd say 60-70% of people on here wouldn't be able to ski them. great ski but i'll go to the Fischer Progressor 9+ before i go to the tigershark.

Not to mention how expensive the skis are!

Original RRP on the 12ft TS in Australia was AU$1999 - ~US$1650!
