Spats, prophets, kingswood fats, sumos, icelantics, priors new fats (not 120 wasit, but 154 tip so they fit the category),capital thrasher, capital g-funk,goode carbon spat clone (yu cant find them, but they do exist)
flynn, the only one there you can really compare to the prophets are teh sumos, the rest are either inverted sidecut or swallow tails, all meant for lines, not bc jumping
I agree, I don't know of that many skis that are 120mm + in the waist. Maybe over 105mm waist there are more than a bunch to choose from, but not 120mm.
The reverse camber/sidecut skis are just as capable freestlye-wise in the backcountry as a prophet/traditional style sidecut. My point in saying what i said was to show that prophets are not unique in anyway as many people believe them to be. Skis like them have been being produced by no name companies (most to order non mass market) for a couple of years now.
And the reason i said the trend with fat skis will stop, is because the current binding mounts are nearing their threshold for pressure to the screws, if you have ever mounted a snowboard with ski bindings you would know what i mean. There is a point where the skis become cumbersome and lose performance and feel.
sports den would rule if dicks there wouldnt try to convince me that the msp is a park ski and that the ar5s are a more all mountan ski and not good in the park
'skis are like girls , the more you have the better'
10mm wider in the shovel than the Explosiv it replaces, just slightly softer flex but stiffer than the Gotama
it addresses all the concerns of people who didn't ski the Explosiv because they thought it was too stiff
the wider shovel initiates turns much more easily and provides a true arc turn
the sidecut makes it much more enjoyable than the Explosiv on trips through hardpack, but the tail doesn't flair as much as many skis with sidecut so it doesn't hook up on steeps
unbelievably stable and damp....a straightliner's dream ski
slight upturn in the tail so you can ride switch but I wouldn't want to land too hard in the backseat (unlike the Gotama which has a much higher tail)
Seth Vicious would be a better true twin tip for the park, the Mantra is for people pointed straight and fast on big mountain environments
^^^ i basically told them the differences between the stl the msp and why they were designed for the purposed they are designed for and what makes them so good for those purposes and the dude was like "yeah that to so either way your getting good deal"
hahhaha what a fuck
'skis are like girls , the more you have the better'
That's more than I even thought for the maximum price would be. I trully thought that they would not cost over $1100 USD, but that is absolutely retarded.
