Volkl sent me free skis!

i was on a ski trip this weekend with my family at pineknob and i was just taking a run through the park but when i landed switch out of a little roller i noticed the tip of my skis (which i got at the beginning of this season) had a dark piece sticking out so i took it off looked at it and boom the actual edge came out and the base folded under it,I also did nothing for this to happen i hadnt crashed, or caught my tips on, or under anything. (i would show pics but i dont have my phone rn). so we went to the shop and they said they could fix it (they said it was the worse one theyve ever seen lol) but they needed them over night and we couldnt do that since we had to leave around 8:00 that night.

The next day my we called and emailed volkl and they are sending me some brand new Revolts :D

revolts have held up great for me, topsheet is pretty much trashed from the edges banging into it but they were the perfect ski for getting into park. Just ordered some arv 86s to replace them

yeah I wanted to pick up some chronics originally but the 86's were the only ones in 177 that were good with all mountain and park which I could find available. plus they were super cheap.

def gonna agree with you on that, next year once these arv's are trashed I'm definitely grabbing some chronics or honey badgers. 2019's topsheets weren't really doing it for me personally.

I have trashed a few pairs of skis in my day, every pair of lines ive owned has seen 2-3 seasons and could still be ridden today. Except for a pair of masterminds I let my friend cut in half to make a snowskate

I think Faction durability is worse than Line in recent years tbh. I've absolutely smoked my Candide 1.0s. I hate these circle jerk memes that go round about how big factory made skis are bad quality.

Thats cool, but this sounds like a pretty straightforward warranty issue.

And so they are contractually obligated to give you skis under the warranty, and they aren't doing anything any other company wouldn't do. So wtf r u so happy about.

Yeah, they didn't give you "free skis" they replaced a ski that inexplicably blew up. It's nice that it wasn't a hassle but I hardly see this as extraordinary or even thread worthy but congrats in any case.

Wouldn't you be happy if you broke your skis and they sent you replacements?

I have never understood why people hate volkl so much they have seriously good skis. I skied with a pair of steps for two seasons and they were on of the best pair of skis Ive had. You seriously cant break them. Swtiched to blends now tho but volkls were still lit.

I broke my 1.0s like 30 days in slightly underrotated a flat 3 and they just snapped
