i'm looking to get a pair.

unfortunatley, they only go up in increments of 10cm.

so i'm stuck on whether to get 158's or 168s

right now i have 153 Line Celebrity Mini's, and i feel like if i go up to the 168 Pearls, it would be too much of a change, and i wouldn't be able to throw them around.

then again, i don't know if 5cm is ENOUGH of a change from the 153's i have now.

extra info:

i'm 5'6, interested in doing some backcountry this year, but will most likely still be stuck with mainly park/all mtn.

opinions?
 
a 168 is about just as tall as you, and a 158 should go to about your nose...where do you plan on mounting these? this will make a difference.
 
i have 177 walls and 181 ghettos, i thought the ghettos would be too long since they are about my height and my walls go close to my eyebrows..but they ride perfectly since i mounted them at addicted(center)

get the 168s if your mounting close to center or past it..plus ull have your 153 and having skis in diff sizes is always good.
 
168 is pretty good sized, especially if you want to get some pow/BC, the extra size will help a good amount
 
yeah, i say i'm gunna go backcountry every year and never really get my fair share of freshies.

whatever, i'm def in a cliff/pow mood this winter, so we'll have to wait and see.
