Thinking of getting one of these ski for next season. What are some major differences? I will be putting Dukes on them and am planning on touring with them 5-10 times and skiing the resort 1-5 times. I live in the east and these wold be my "dedicated" powder and touring ski. What do you suggest? I am 16 5'5" and ski 30 or 40 times a year.

they are both below average skis.

The Volkl 2 is somehow much better in variable snow and hardpack. That is how much they fucked up the uno. Damp, quick, and smeary in powder though.

The Amperage, like all BD skis, just sucks. in everything.

plenty of other skis that would be worth your consideration as a resort/short tour powder ski. Like all of them.

There are plenty of great skis in that catagory. You haven't given us enough information to really help you.

I use the ON3P Billy Goat (116) and Blizzard Bodacious (118). Plenty of folks like the Armada JJ, and Line Opus. The Gunsmoke (114), Jeffrey 114, Patron (113), and Shredditor 112 are great but different. Also the Automatic 117, and Quest 115.

Pretty much everyone makes a ski that is 115ish underfoot.

Have you even ridden BD AMPerage? I have those and they absolutely slay. I have used salomons, rossis, atomics and BD beats them all. They can handle such variety of conditions and are good quality. I've used them for almost two seasons now and i couldnt be happier with them. Few hits to the rocks and almost no damage, they are buttery as hell, kinda surfy, and can handle speed and BC booters. Best skis I've ever had and I will buy new ones too. I have mounted guardians on them so you should be okay with dukes. Only problem I'd say is the narrow tail which makes switch landing and skiing in pow a bit harder.
