Volkl mantra twin or no?

it's an all mountain ski.

kinda like your perfect resort ski, it'll go anywhere you take it.

and it's not a full twin. so switch in powder ain't gonna happen.

Gotma or Karma are they way to go if you want a twin.

Yeah that is pretty much it. I can ski backwards with no problem, but I'm not sure yet if I want to try to land switch on them.

uhh... r u talking about this years cuz i saw there was defintly a decent size tail (not like a true twin tip but enough to backwards)

Karma might be a better bet for the east. If you are riding park a lot I'd stay away from Mantra, the construction will cause it to be loud and weird on hardpacked features.

We have them in the shop I work at. The tail rise is maybe only 1cm and they're a lot stiffer than the Karma. I wouldn't want to ski them in the park, and even as a resort ski you'll need to be charging hard to ski them.

yeah, do remember that the ski they are replacing is the Explosive...

the mantra is suppose to be a little but softer....but that is still pretty stiff.

They are great everyday resort sticks. I wouldn't want to use them in the park.

There are much better offers out there if your looking for an everyday ski to use in the park - vicious, mothership, etc.

u can land switch on skis without a twin... its taking off u have to worry about...i used to land switch on my straight skis back in the day... theyre not a super high twin like the gotama.... but it'll work for most things... wouldnt want to ride switch in pow on em though... but theyre for chargin in pow anyhow.

shit, I learned 180's on skis that were completely flatbacked. Unless you lean real far back when you land switch I wouldn't worry about it

this is a picture of the tail of my Mantra.....

I wouldn't qualify them as a twin tip. They have a pretty rounded off tail, and a little raise, but they still fit in the same gondola rack like a normal ski.
