Hey i'm looking for a new ski that i can use all over the mountain. i love dinkin around in the park but don't take it too seriously because i'm 6'6 240 haha. what do you reccomend? i've researched and the volkl mantra looks like it might be better for us big skiiers. anyone knows if it can do a decent job in the park? My current skis are 05-06 k2 public enemy

for someone of ur size i imagine it would be a great all mountain ski, i dont own them so i cant really talk but i do have gotamas 2010 model and love them as all mountian skis, as for mantras there stiff and not a a full twin so park could get sketchy, but sketchy can be fun :)

Volkls measure up short and Mantras don't have a twintip, so no. Find some original Kung Fujas (08/09, pre-rocker) if you don't mind soft skis; the 189 is really a 195.

The new armada ak jjs might be good for you - I'm 6'1 and the 185 jjs are great for me so I would imagine the ak's being at 195 should be ok for you. The jjs are great all over the mountain - they ski similar to the mantras i.e good in pow and on hard snow too. But I wouldn't take them to the park (well rails at least) because they are too nice for that! I have hit park jumps on mine and with the width they are really solid landing platforms!! And they are really quite light too so spinning is actually that bad.

The ak's are apparently stiffer and have a larger turn radius so you can charge hard GS style. Which is the kind of turns I like :)
