Volkl Ledge 07/08 review?

Has anyone ridden this years Volkl Ledge? From what i've read they're the follow ups on the dogen, which i've heard was a good performing ski except that the quality sucked big time.. They're really cheap and if the quality is better this year i really consider buying them cause i'm super low on cash. So anyone know anything more bout them or have tried them?

i've looked at every single review page, forum on the internet and haven't found anything more than volkls own descriptions....thats why i'm asking.
 
Here is what I thought last spring:

Volkl Ledge[/b]

– 178 cm – close to center mount:

Surprisingly good skiing ski.

This is a really good park ski at a cheaper price. It skis switch well. It holds an edge well and can go pretty

fast. Was a little dead with not much

rebound out of the turns (like the PE).

Graphics: Similar to Wall, pretty cool.

Final Thoughts: Another great price point ski. I would almost call this one the best in the

Volkl twin line.

thanks!^ first personal review of the ski i've read. I'll probably buy them. i just hope volkl has fixed the quality preoblems they had with the dogens..

do u remember how the flex was? and the weight?
 
last bump. DOes anyone know if the constrcution is similar to the dogens (which was shit) or more like the walls? Is it made in china like the old dogens?
 
Ya volkls are the best The ledge is awesome and is way better than last years model cause the new top sheet and the edge thing.but the only down side is that fricken k2 bought them and there made in china.Ya i have have them there bomb proof!There l9ight and great in the park.Holla!
 
i just got the volkl legde about 2 days ago. they skis amazingly. i was really suprised, but i loved them. i was worried the weight would effect some parts of my jibbbin but it has helped it more. the wieght makes them stable and you can feel those skis are going to last. also the ski itself is very stiff but i find them to be very very playful. i can butter on them as easliy as i can on my line invader if not better. i have alot more control on them. And for the price i think its worth buying this ski. youll be pleased and suprised because these skis are really responsive to the amount of effort you put in them
