I used ar7s in a nonstop week of snow at jay and was fine, granted I'm a small person. My mom was doing well in her average women's volkl, you should be straight just don't go over your limit.

You can ski any ski anywhere. It's just some are a hell of a lot easier than others. Example, people used to use skinny skis in powder not too long ago too. Plus if I could ride Line Afterbangs all over Jay in ice and again in deep snow, you'll be fine. Last tip: no one cares what you ride.
