Volkl Explosivs

Can anyone give me some info on Volkl Explosivs? Im looking to buy a pair and Id like to hear some input about them first. Thanks

I have the 02'03's and they are incredible. On ice they carve very well even though they are so wide, great for rails, and a solid ski. They're very strong, but if you break them Volkl has a great return policy. My tail delamed (01/02 model) and they sent me the 02/03 skis. The only con with them is that when stopped hard, they are a bit wobbly, but that's probly how all wide skis are.

Don't do rails on them, the edges are whack...having said that, they are my favorite skis. Best big mountain skis on the market. You do not need to turn with them because they are soo stable at speed and they have the power to blast through everything from children and small animals to avie debris and moguls. They are great skis if you are a very agressive big mountain skier, and they handle surprisingly well on hardpack too.

Ya, i guess the edge thing is true for the rails, but i grind them down under my boots, so mine work for rails too.

Calskier and 1080bio dont have any idea what they are talking about: Maidens and Gotamas are totally different skis from the Explosivs. The Explosives are as flexible as 2x4s, whereas the Gotamas are weaker than your moms knees when i whip it out.

gotamas if ur gonna ski all pow, expolosivs will get used a bit more if ur not a striactly pow person
