Are people complaining about their edges catching even if they detune because of volkls special edge? It says they are aluminum so idk if this makes a difference but I’d like to hear what the people want to say.

And I know you guys are gonna say it says mostly for racing or all mountain but I think all of the revolts count as an all mountain ski.

Where does this mention edges?

I searched up volkl edges and this showed up

Plus I don’t know many places a ski has metal other than underfoot and the edge

The titanal is a thin layer typically above and below the core, like a sandwich. The edges are normal steel edges.

Alright good to know but do u have any idea why people are complaining that they stick? Decided to throw this idea out there cuz idk what else would effect the rail capability.

Probably just a shitty tune / not detuned enough.

I have detuned my Revolt 95s 4 times and now I’ve got 2 edge cracks on the same ski. They will ride fine and then get super fucked and cut up (around 5th lap through park) enough to where it will dig into the rail when I set my leading inner edge. It is driving me INSANE. I have tried everything. I just don’t understand why I am having so many issues with these damn edges.

it’s like steel pulls away and up so it’s more like between base edge and side edge. I’m so over these skis in the park.

I have the same troubles rn:(

Just back in the park from an injury and just around 8 days on the ski and the inner edge of one ski is already fucked up so bad...

I dont know if this is a völkl problem but it makes me go crazy... does someone know how to fix this shitty edges?

Idk man. I sold mine. Had a tech do a light detune on some line Chronics and man. It’s like night and day. I just do not get what was up with those völkls.

That's wild. I haven't seen that particular issue in person, but one thing I have seen is that some models of Volkls will *consistently* be edge-high in the tails, making them a bitch to stone grind. I've seen it on almost every pair of Confessions and Mantra 102s I've tuned, and other techs that I've talked to report the same thing.
