Volkl Dogens Peeling?

Hey guys,

I'm a new member, looks like a pretty sick website. Anyway I just got some new Volkl Dogens and have skied on them twice. Love them for the most part except one thing... The top of the ski is peeling. When I say peeling I mean you can see the core, one of the rips is probably 1 cm towards the middle of the ski, that's across the ski not into it. I rarely cross my skies and have never had any problem like this, especially with Volkls.

BTW I am probably a 4 out of five skier. Can do most every run on the mountain. Just started jibbing.

I'm about 6'1 165 pounds, pretty strong legs.
 
If you've only skiied on those 2 days and they are peeling to the core, definitely warranty those bitches
 
i ski my dogens really hard and they have about 50+ days on them this year and mine have been peeling like that since the first week. i already warrentied them once cuz i snapped the core after the tech fucked up mounting them. I think the peeling problem doesnt affect the structure much cuz my skis havent had any delaming problems yet and they are peeling quiete a bit. on one ski the top sheet is peeling about 25% across the ski and the core is visiable and i have been skiing with it like that for about a month now and hasnt gotten any worse. Although the sides peel alot i havent had any problems at all with the tips delaming or anything like that.
 
i had the 06 doegens and a foot of edge ripped out and i chipped the fuck out of them after 2 months. probably the least durable ski ive ever had.
 
fuck man i skied my dogens for 5 days ... and on the 6th ... some devil shit happened... first the edge snapped like retarded on misty and then i go to my car and am putting them in and on my other ski the tip had some intense delam... the whole tip ripped off the base all the wat down to the bottom of the sidewall like you can see througe the orange base.
 
take them to your shop for warranty.

post pics here if ya want, but it sounds pretty bad and i doubt you caused it.
