Volkl Bridge

I got the Volkl Bridge (06-07) this season and I have only skied on them 6 times (about). The top sheet is massively chipping on the sides. Is this normal? What should I do?
 
its just top sheet chipping... i have the 08-09 bridges and mine have no issues...

are you sure its the bridge? the "bridge" of 06-07 was the karma... and i loved my karmas, but i chipped the fuck out of the top sheets
 
I've got the same skis...'07 pair. this has been my second season with them and the sheet has only been moderately coming off. i usually ride park so, i dunno... i fucked up on a table and compressed my edge and now i'm missing 4" of edge but that's the extent of my problems.i say if it doesn't affect the riding there shouldn't be a problem
 
I have the 08-09 bridges and the top sheet started chipping pretty bad. When it started chipping, I took a pocket knife and shimmed off the part that was chipping and I noticed it helped stop the rest from chipping...just an idea to try?
 
i have 08/09 armada el reys and they have a similar issue. I did the same thing using a pocket knife and it has worked out pretty well since, i would suggest doing this, it's really your best option
 
i have bridges also.

im pretty sure its just the top sheet and nothing serious

i've just ignored it and kept riding =]
 
My 08/09s are as chipped as hell. I tend to keep a really sharp edge on them. I find that slicing/peeling/sanding the exposed part off helps avoid chipping.
