Volkl Bridge - Review

So today I got the chance to take the 07/08 Volkl Bridge for a ride in 185, however I'm not sure what other sizes they come in, or the dimensions. But first things first, I thought it was an awesome ski. I used it today on packed snow / ice and I think this is where it stand out. It was able to hold and edge as speed like none other, and the flex felt perfect for charging the mountain. They were also super light and they would be alot lighter if they weren't mounted with a silly pair of Marker demo bindings. The only thing that I slightly noticed was them being a little sloppy while spinning, but I'm sure it would just be a matter of getting used to them. And also, I can only imagine how they would rip if I was able to ski them in powder, they wanted to go fast.

So over-all, I had alot of fun on the skis and I would definatly recommend them as an all-mountain or charging ski. I might even consider getting them execpt the little fact that they're Volkl and will probably cost $700 CDN or something. Volkl looks really sick for next year with this ski, they Wall, and of course the Gotama.

The karmas are exceptionally good, the best ski ive tried to date. But im concerned as the cutr on the bridges is more than the karmas were, do they still handle as well in park and piste?anybody tried the walls, i havn't ever used them reviews?!!? Cheers

I think a lot of it has to do with how expensive they are. The last two times I've bought skis, I've wanted to get Karmas, but I could never find them cheap enough. I think a lot of people out there feel like the money isn't worth the extra quality.

P.S. Karma's are still one of my all-time favorite skis, and I can't wait to try the Bridges.

just ordered my bridges the other day...they look sooo dope

i got the 169's even though im 174, starting to think that may be a mistake as apparently theyre quite curvacious and thus ski like a shorter ski than what they actually measure up?

can anyone here back that up?

really? light? my brother tried them and hated them. thought they were heavy and wanted to just go straight the whole time.

Volkl's skis are really good quality. I have skied my walls for around 50+ days now and they are still in awesome shape. The tails have just started to get soft, but you will get that when you ride park everyday all the time.

i have 177 walls but im 5'8" and 135-140 they are too big but a 169 is too small but i can stil spin decently, i think they fucked up the sizes tehy make they should go like 169 then a 172 then a 177 or something but good ski over all, i think they handle a bit better in the park compared to the bridges though
