Volkl 2 or Surface Newlife

If the volkl one has the same flex as the two the two is going to be softer than the newlife. The newlife will charge harder than the two.

I actually went to surface the other day looked into new lifes. The new life has camber in it with early rise and is a mid stiff flex with the nose being softer than the tail and stiff under foot.
Compared to the volkl two the two is really soft compared to the new life and the two has no camber at all. Its flat under foot with symmetrical rocker in the tip and tail while the new life has more early rise in the nose than in the tail.
I haven't skiied any of these two skis but if you want a ski that is going to be more jibby oriented the two is the way to go. If you want a ski to charge more but still be able to throw some switch landings the new life is the one to go towards

Not great. They are a pretty soft ski, meant for jibbing in the pow, not really hucking fast. If you want a Volkl ski that drops cliffs, go with the Shiro. I've hit many cliffs on those, and its a dream.

it really depends on what you prefer and what you will be skiing. for example if you are going to be hitting monster cliffs with speed i would lean towards something like the volkle shiro or nordica patron. but if you have pillows and surfing in mine i would go with a softer ski like the newlife or volkle 2. armada jjs are also a great option, im not advertizing but in my opinion jjs can do it all
I heard the Volkl 2 is a noodle, and i owned the new life and it was the opposite, a planky and unresponsive charger.
Do you have other skis for when there's no fresh snow? If so, why not go big and get an Armada Bubba. I havent skied them yet, but i own them and flex and feel amazing. Plus everyone that has skied them, has nothing but good things to say about them.
