this could be a rumor but i heard they are sponsering skiiers now?

when an officer pulls you over: gee son your eyes look red, have you been drinking?

respond: gee officer your eyes look glazed have you been eating doughnuts?

Word on the street is:

they were interested in putting together a ski team, but at this time I'm pretty sure they've lost that interest.

Volcom mainly works with the snowboard/skateboard market. If word gets out to the snowboard community that this 'core' company was sposoring pansy skiers than that could decrease sales in that industry.

Any good snowboarder will mostlikely have a mutual respect for skiers, but most snowboarders are 10 year old kids that follow trends.

They want to get involved in skiing, from what I've heard, they may possibly contribute behind the scenes or under another company name.

shhhh, dont tell anybody, especially any snowboarders but, they've already done it! Briggs was getting hooked up with Volcom gear, no money i think. but, he's not very good with sponsor relationship so now he's on spyder.

that'd be sweet, and why not sponsor skiers, skiing is getting big and if you and your company is smart they'd invest in some skiers cause it'd gonna be as big as snowboarding for sure, it's just time...

Being Irish, I guess I should resent the Notre Dame nickname 'The Fighting Irish.' After all, how long do you think nicknames like 'The Bargaining Jews' or 'The Murdering Italians' would last? Only the Ironic Irish could be so naively honset. I get the feeling that Notre Dame came real close to naming itself 'The Fuckin Drunken, Thick-Skulled, Brawling, Short-Dicked Irish'

The local rep around here says that volcom really wants to get into skiing with about 3 a team athletes but they're scared that it will ruin business

i know andy irons ( the world champion of surfing this year) is sponsered by volcom and is really into newschool skiing, like he hangs out with johnny D, he said he was thinking about entering in some comps, that could possibly seal the deal with volcom and skiing

but if those little ten year old kids see 'cool' companys like volcom sponsor skiing they would probably think skiing is cool too. kids like that just follow trends, and whatever they hear is cool, but i agree i think to some extent it is risking their 'core' image, as theyve only catered to standing on one board sideways sports.

volcom should start sponsering skiers. They started here in mammoth out of my friends snowboard shop

as a kid i used to like to like riding in the car with my head out the window. i would do it all the time. until one day a car was coming. my head hit a dogs head, and my head knocked the dogs head off. now i dont lean out the window anymore.

you got it all wrong man its the volcom surf and skate teams switching over to skiing. Most notably Bruce Irons, and Geoff Rowley.

This is so true. I am a snowboarder. I hate that 90% of all snowboarders are posers. They just ride to say that they do to make themselves look cool in front of their friends. They dis skiing because they think that it makes them look cool. Freeskiers have such a better attitude than most snowboarders. They are in it for the fun and not for their image. I say Volcom should get a Freeski team going because its a hell of a lot more hardcore than snowboarding

YEah dude i agree too i hate little snowboarders that hate skiers. Most of the time the posers anyway. I thinmk snowboarding is soooo sick. And I think snowboarders should be the same.

i think its a good idea if they pull it off right...think about sessions...they were core board/surf/skate....think about when they first started sponsoring...skiers. it has been quite awhile now. but noone outside the ski industry really knew. today, many, and i mean...allot of people dont know that sessions does have skiers...its...a social status thing...to very many people...
