So im buying new skis this year.. ive been stuck on getting chronic blends for a while, but i think that the new vokle bridge would be good too.. So heres my stats: im 6' 2" 160 pounds, im a racer so i know how to work a ski.. i ski at mt hood, so i want a ski that will float well, but i also ned something i can take in he park and that can handle some crud,, seeing that hood doesnt get as much powder as i would like...

if i were you id go for the blends. but thats just me, i dont really like the sidecut on the bridges.

no, hes coming from a race background. anthems would be awakard as hell

if anything you might want to look at the prophets, they have the same shape as the blend but have a metal layer along the core. very solid skis , blend/prophet

Oakley Osama Pro. That is your best bet.

But really, My friend has the bridges and says that when you ski them its like seeing your first pair of tits. For some, that may mean a really awkward moment, but I think he meant that they were pretty fucking sick.

I come from a racing background too. I have Volkl Gotamas. I would suggest them. They are awesome in pow/trees, and they rip groomers too. They are stiff, but light.

Yeah, if you are a racer you will be very dissapointed with Line. They don't ski like a real ski. Maybe you should look at k2 as well, k2 makes really good skis.

ahahahaha all you guys comparing th quality of the skis are so dumb, they are made in the same factory now

Um, I actually already know that. And just because they are made in the same factory doesnt mean they are similar skis. skis like the public enemy and the seth are extremeley different than Line skis. The only similar ski that I really see is the fujative and invader. And maybe the EP pro and hellbent. You need to understand the differences between capped/sidewalled construction and the effects on how it skis. Also stiffness, proposed mount points. . . You are an idiot to think that becasue they are made in the same factory they are the same skis. look at head/armada (I think they are made in the same factory?).

Actually, LINE is a very well established company with a solid lineup of skis that are both versatile and very "cool" with the kids. LINE riders have been progressing the progression of the action sport hemisphere of the skiing world since day one and there is a very good chance that next time you go up the hill you will do a trick that was invented or initially done by a current/former member of the line skis special forces skiing team (great knowledge demands great run-ons!). LINE SKIS is supporting you, as made joyously clear by such youth oriented marketing ideas as the "i am a skier" t shirt series and the "skiers union" on the website. And don't even get me started on all the awesome events put on by line skis in the 06-07 season!

The skis themselves are of the great quality you would come to expect of any boutique level brand, especially considering the companies strong background in ski blading and means of production via the k2 factory. Models such as the "invader" and the "chronic" have become a staple ski for terrain park style stunt skiers nationwide and the "elizabeth" and "prophet" models take this mentality to the powder. The reasons to buy line are endless, and it is at this point that I would love to direct your attention to the line website (www.lineskis.com make sure your browser is flash enabled broadband reccomended) which will be more than happy to fill your brain with reasons to buy line, and even lists of people who would!

As for the rest of you, I don't work for line so please stop sending me your sponsor videos. Im just another kid that loves line skis. And I love them a lot.

umm chronic and the pe are like the same ski, the invaders are comparable to the fujative, prophet 100's and the seth are comparable, EP pro and hell bent, shall i continue? line has a lot more twin tips out than k2 as well

and does anyone else see the irony in this thread seeing as line, k2 and volkl are THE SAME FUCKING COMPANY, they are all made in the same factory using the same quality materials

you have your facts right but the conclusion you drew was just completely out of left field ! and wrong. rethink it you seem like a smart guy.

They might be comparable, but they are not the same ski. Yeah, invaders and fujis have different flex, and different lengths. Arnt the chronics capped? prophet 100s and the seths? I don't think so. Remember, capped skis are different than sidewalled. The seths also have more side cut. I would actually like to see you continue. Please, explain how skis with different dimentions are the same, and how they ski the same.

chronic and PE you forgot that oh wait thats 3 skis that are almost alike. I know the differences between cap and sidewall that's why i said what i said. This year the chronic is sidewalled and is just like the public enemy, and you already mentioned the other ones. The anthem is the invader but fatter so that's like the fugitive but fatter. They're alot alike. You mean atomic and armada.

What's Vokle??

Volkl look like they've got a good line-up this year, iwth th Walls & bridge and stuff, but then, Line have had some pretty good skis the last couple years too

PE= 118-85-109

Chronic= 11-85-105

invader: 110-83-110

fuji: 113-85-104

seth: 130-98-118

prophet 100: 134-100-125

ARe you seriously arguing with this? They all have different lengths. . . and different cores. . . . and different flex's. . . totally different skis.

yap, if i was in the market for a new park ski RIGHT NOW, id go with walls...but for a more versatile ski id probably get prophets...

GET A JOB AND GET BOTH!!! WOOOOOOO!

bridge

blend

prophet 90

mojo 90

big trub

racing background, can't go wrong with any of these: they're all on the stiffer side (for twins), kill it all over and are pretty bombproof.

as for the idiots who have hijacked this thread with the absurd bickering about line, do us all a favour...

go volkl. i got karmas last year and love them soo much. The are good park skis, and can rip all mountain. Plus they are kinda beefy so they will float in pow, especially at your weight.

I got the chronic blends last year and they're pretty awesome. Only thing is that this year's models have a shitty graphic

oh and i know they aren't identical, no ski is, but rather they are comparable and could be considered as direct competitors,

when iflexed the bridges i thought that they were stiff as shit. they were stiffer than the doperman sl skis that we carry in the shop. They are sooo light too.

I'm not against line in any way, and I think they are doing awesome things, and make a good product, but I just think the guy would be happier with volkls or k2s. Commin from a racing background I understand what a racer looks for in a ski and I don't really think line is what this guy is looking for. I think he would be much happier with volkl or k2.

having owned a pair of lines and volkls and being similar in height to you Im pretty sure you want to go with the Volkl's.

Lines are fun to dink around on but because they are so soft and your a bigger guy coming from a racer background you won't be able to work em at all and they'll flap around in the crud like crazy.

Volkl are definately sitffer, stronger and overall a way better ski.. their entire lineup was ranked very highly in all of the ski tests this year.

Plus half these kids reccomending line live in a icy park on the east coast with nothing better to do than butter.
