Voiceover recording?

So tomorrow i'm recording a voiceover and I can't decide how I want to record it. Should I use my minidv cam and just record sound that way, or just record it straight to my laptop via an external computer mic (nothing special).

i'm open to any suggestions, but not buying anything

with a microphone? made for recording voice?

why would you use a camera? thats made for video and some voice, a microphone is purely voice
