You should read the article, but basically scientists are getting closer and closer to developing accurate pictures of what we're thinking. Could have some pretty crazy implications - imagine being able to wake up in the morning and re-watch what you were dreaming about all night.

this is crazy. if the computer can come up with the images that you see then your eyes are pretty much just a video camera...at all times. imagine being able to record and relive everything...

if i could choose between someone else landing on mars and me being able to watch my brain like a movie, i would pick this every day of the week.

but on the subject of curing diseases, it would be interesting to hook up a schizophrenic person to one of these things. you'd probably get some pretty crazy stuff

I wonder how much better of a place the world would be if we used twice as much brain power, 20%. I feel like there would either be so empathy and compassion, or if we would use the new power for evil means. Imagine 100% brain power use, I can't even comprehend
