im gettin a giro helmet and i dont know if i should get the visor or not...any opinions..does the visor do anything or is it just for style.

if your gonna wear goggles with it I see no point in having it. It doesnt make it look any cooler. If your not gonna wear goggles then it could help keep the sun out of your eyes.

okay, i just gotta say...please stop making the FARP video things. Its cool if you wanna make them and all, but dont make a website about it etc. Or at least get better first. You are hurting the industry. When snowboarders see skiers like Fred and Randall doing stupid flailing 360 attempts 8 inches off the ground, they laugh there heads off, and skiing takes another blow. i think everyone needs to chill a little, yes this is a dumb ass post, but everyone makes at least one unnecessary thread. i dunno if u feel like it will help, and it actually is a visor, not jut 2 inches of plastic added to ur helmet go for it. i prob wouldnt get it if its expensive, but do what u want

yea i said it was a bad example, and i usually dont worry about stuff i buy, i just buy it, if i had to worry about it and ask questions its obviously not the product for me becuase there would be a better less sketch product i can buy that i know more about... its not much to get worried about or

i think visors dont help. i think its just a style like you got the regular 9 then the mx9(visor) just a person that perfers a different style than others i guess. i own 2 boeri helmets one with a visor and one without depending on what kinda mood im in. it doesnt affect your goggle performance either way. i personally like the way the MX looks from giro. but thats just me. you'll be happy with your decision either way, giro a sick helmet. they also make ones with earphones in it. idk if their stillavailable or not, just thought id toss that in there.

ya, that is an advantage. but also, u can take off hte visor. so if u think ull use it sometimes, get the visor and take it off when u dont want it

Hey i think u shouldnt get a visor bec every1 and their uncle has one and they are just trying to follow moto-x man people need to do their own style not follow the masses. I dont really see any advantage to having a visor any way.

ya i was wondering the same thing but i think im just going to get the g10 mx becuase i can take it off if i decide i dont like it
 
i've got one because it helps me with tree skiing, it looks cool (i think) and i never take my goggles off during the day so it doesn't get in the way
 
if ur gonna wear a helmet go wit da bad lieutenant instead... way cheaper... and steezier.. but hats r doper
