Vishnu/on3p culture getting worse

To be completely honest though, I do think it’s ridiculous how many people ski on these skis and how often I see threads here saying “what size wet should I get” and “should I buy wet or wide”. I think a lot of people buy these skis just to be part of the so called core-culture, not because they think they’re actually the right skis for them. There are so many great skis on the market but people don’t even consider them when shopping for new ones, they just go straight to vishnu or on3p because that’s what’s cool. Not very good imo

You have a point that mad people are buying Vs or on3ps just to look cool. But that's always going to be a thing, dudes will always want to look cool, like who doesn't?? Is it really a bad thing that people want to be a part of the culture? I think it's a good thing personally.

For me the reason to ride on3p and vishnus is because they are companies that make quality skis and support street skiing. There are other companies that support street skiing, like Line, Surface, and Armada, but out of those three only armada makes really high quality skis. And IMO Armada with its unbelievably stacked team could do more to put out their own content.

Honestly sometimes you just have to let young teenage kids be dipshits and go off on their dumb tangents and eventually get a slice of humble pie. Ive had plenty of kids I coach tell me that ON3Ps or whatever other brand is "trash" while also on the next chair ride tell me that they have to warranty their pair of skis from X or Y company again. so idk Kids will be dumb Kids.

Worst part is sometimes they get ski/gear advice from their parents who are even worse.

I have skied them all my on3ps were good but still have my k2 public enemies that haven't died and still ski them more over my on3p. They have been beat on so bad. I know this how skiing would become all about gear. But just go out and ski I have jskis and they have treated me so well I skied lines they were okay Armada is substantial. Honestly it's not the ski that makes the skier. It's all about your progression the gear can only be as good as the skier can get.
