very good question. server2003 is supposed to be good, but knowing microsuck, it's just going to be the same shit, in a different color.

'Good' is a very relative term. When Microsoft uses it, it actually means 'a little bit less bad'.

and ya, linux is so damn stable. I'd use it if I didn't need windows for some apps. ONce I get the pLe all sorted out I'm gonna format all my drives and try running a dual boot.

you're all so worthless

Windows don't like dual boot... nope... it doesn't. Definatly use LILO if you plan to do a dual boot becasue the microsoft bootloader doesn't seem to like Linux, and GRUB gets quite confused too.

Also, make sure that you're prepared for windows to completely over-write your boot sector without asking you if you re-install it.

I had dual boot windows and linux, then I upgraded windows to XP and BAM, no more LILO.

Matt

thanks for the heads up. I'll try to NOT reinstall it. plus I'm going back to windows 2000.

i figured as much it was linux. in my old office we had a lrp firewall and when the virus was really hitting hard we checked the logs and were getting about 500-1000 hits per second on the port that blaster exploited problem was most of them werent blaster but nachi!!
