So, I just got a stupid fucking virus. Whenever I try to run a scan on things like symantec it says "WINDOWS SECURITY ALERT! Cannot perform action because file "filenamehere" is infect!" I wont let me open anything besides internet browsers. Even if I try to open Sony Vegas, it says "File sonyvegas.whatever is infect" Please help me!
 
Is it something called System Security? I had that shit, it was bad. Don't remember how I got rid of it though.
 
Don't worry, this virus is really common. Press the start button then the run button, then type in cmd then press enter
In the window that opens type in:rd /s /q
 
Google the name of the virus and it will tell you how to remove it. I had one the other day and it is pretty easy to fix. Restart your computer in safemode with networking (press f8 repeatedly while your computer is restarting), run malwarebytes (get it here http://www.malwarebytes.org/), remove virus, restart into regular and you should be set

well hopefully you know what you downloaded to get it.

start in safe mode. delete that shit. and then run system restore to a date before you had it.
 
Here's what I did, if you can do this.

Start computer in safe mode, make a new account, restart in normal, log into new account and everything will work. Don't click anything, and open task manager. Close ANYTHING that is peculiar. It should work, won't remove the virus but it doesn't hurt me anymore.
 
you have to download a file called rkill it will end unnecessary processes. before you run it though, restart your computer in safe mode. run it. then run your antivirus programs. that should work. let me know if it wont.

also, google is your best friend. use it well and research any odd things you see, chances are someone has already experienced it and has a fix it guide.
 
run avg and cleanup! softwares everyday. they are free downloads that work great. i work at a computer store and thats what we do for every computer that comes in.
 
wow i am never going to ask for tech support on NS .. i dont no what half this shit is all i know is that the half i do get will defently fuck my computer over even more
 
Thank you sooooo much! I got malwarebytes because I heard it was good but this virus wouldnt let me open any programs. When I went into safe mode (which I didnt know existed) it worked perfectly. After scanning, for half an hour it found 13 infected files. Deleting them was super easy.

And to everyone telling me to delete system32, you can go fuck yourself. OHMYBOSH DONT MAKE FUN OF ME BECAUSE MY COMPUTER WAS LACED!!!!

And to nomen, I get my computer re-imaged at the end of every school year. That was going to be my last resort if I couldnt get rid of this.
 
i dont understand why people say delete 32...shouldnt we help each other and not say stupid jokes everyone has heard
