Virtika Quality/Size

So you guys on NS that wear Virtika. Can you tell me if its a reliable company because iv'e heard that the outerwear gives out at the seams and i was wondering if that is true. Also i'm 5'8 and dont know what pant size i should get. A medium or large.(i want them slightly baggy) k+

I rock virtika. Outerwear looks pretty sick but is ok for quality, coats are kinda shitty. Hoodies and shirts are fine though. I would recommend the large (i too am 5 8) and they fit baggy

I have the 3L jacket and pants. Quality is good. I haven't had any problems with the seams at all... Go with the large pants.

I have the 10/11 firsdrop pants and they're still kickin. dope baggy fit and durable. I'm 6'1" and rock xl

Oh they still have that stuff too if you want it, but they're just expanding the line to fit with some more modern styling.

No clue on outerwear, but I just got the Badge tee as a cheaper tall tee. I'm 5'10" and bought the XXL, was between that and XXL-Tall. The XXL is the perfect length I was looking for, basically right at my knees. Just hangs out below my XL saga anomie. Great quality of fabric used as well. I'm extremely tempted to purchase the Revtek reversible for a tall skiing hoodie, as they're at an awesome price right now, but don't know if I want to spend the money.

Thanks for the kind words guys! Yeah, we had some quality issues in the beginning, but we've got a new factory and our gear is BOMBER now. We have a 1-year warranty on everything we make, and we just started a 50-70% off sale on ALL outerwear and most clothing and accessories.

Our jacket sizing hasn't really changed much, but our Triple L pants are definitely a longer and less baggy in the legs and butt. For those who want crazy huge pants, check out our V3/V4 XL pants. We'll also be introducing a size XXL next year that will be the same as our V3/V4 XL pants for those who like them BIG.

I've had the v3 coat for a few years and while they only used midrange materials, the seams and zippers are all holding up strong.

I also got to check out some of their new line at SIA and they've stepped it up to a whole new level of quality. Better materials. Better design. Definitely worth checking out.

virtika is dope, i havnt had any problems but even if i did, you can pick up new pants or jackets for like 80$ now on the website 6ft large

I have FD/Virtika outerwear from every season except for the 2nd. It's very obvious that the quality has gone up every year. My V3 stuff is still incredibly warm and in very good shape. The jacket has one cut from hip-checking a tree, otherwise not a single thing has gone wrong with it (+/- 150 days on it). My V3 pants are a bit more beat up. The crotch ripped out, on the inside, after about 100 days of use. The outsides have fared much better, with only one ski cut on the inside of the leg that needed stitching (I keep a razor sharp edge on my non-park skis).

This season I picked up a V4 jacket with 3L pants. They both have about 25 days so far. Jacket is just as good as my V3 jacket. No problems, and the same fit. The 3L pants, however, are even another step up. I absolutely love them. The fit is slightly slimmer, the fabric feels a little tougher and thicker, and I've gotten multiple compliments on the color (seafoam). The insulation is a little less, causing a little less bulk than previous models. But they're still warm enough that I only wear my Under Armour or Stoic baselayer pants. Durability wise, I don't know, I just don't have enough days on them, but, with my sharp ski edges, still no cuts or rips.

The only thing I think that dropped in quality is the Classic Badge hoodie. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but my Octo hoodie from last year is REALLY nice, with the high quality smooth zipper and heavy fabric.

I'm really considering picking up another pair of the 3L pants for patrolling the rest of the season. And for the OP, I'm 6'1", 180, and I wear size L pants and jacket this years stuff, and L pants and XL jacket for previous season's stuff.

Thanks jbalski! I wasn't sure what size to order for being 6'2", but the large black 3L bibs have me stoked!

You MAY want to consider the XL for the length. I'll try to get a picture if me tomorrow, in my L so you can see.

I have the v3 pants in medium and they are very good quality... I heard that their old stuff was way worse but now it's much better I'm 5'10" with the mediums and they are a lil to short so get the large

Also, don't forget you can check our size chart and style/fit guide to get a sense of fit. With the adjustable bibs, you can really customize your look a LOT, but this will at least give you some kind of a guide- http://virtika.com/style-fit-guide/

At the bottom there is a fit guide where you can pick your height/weight and size of outerwear. Jackets haven't really changed sizing much, the only thing is that the Triple L pants are a little less big in the waist and they have a little higher crotch and longer pant legs.

You guys are also welcome to email us anytime at info@virtika.com. Just tell us your height/weight and how you like your gear to fit. Also tell us what gear you're looking at and we'll happily recommend something for you.

Yea I'm skinny dude, about a 31 inch waist, figuring with the bibs I'll be able to drop them down a lil. Last thing I want is long and baggy when I'm hiking

Yeah, I've got 32in waist, 32in inseam. The pants have the Velcro adjustments on the sides to shrink them down a bit. And with my size L pants, I have the suspenders about half way. I'm headed up skiing right now, and will try to get a couple pics.

OK, I stand about 6'1" in my boots, weigh 180. Size L V4 jacket and size L 3L pants.

fuckk....i dont know what to get now. I want the 3L pants but i think the large would be to big. But everyones telling me to get the large. The picture above this post makes me want to get medium. Because the dude is 6'2" and has a large wont the large be to baggy on me??

If you think the large will be to big for your style go with the medium. Also, Virtika has great customer service. If you need to do an exchange, it won't be a problem at all.

at 5-8, I'd suggest the M. Like I said, I'm 6-1, and wear the large's. And I wear my suspenders about 1/3 or half way down.

Hey guys I have a question for anyone familiar w saga and virtika sizing. I currently have an anomie suit in medium but fits slightly small than I'd like. Recently I ordered a virtika signature suit in large w the measurments looking slightly bigger than the anomie sizing. I'm 5'9 150lbs so if anyone is similar in size to me could you please let me know if you think the large signature suit will work for me. Also how is virtika compared to saga? Helps greatly appreciated
