Virtika any good?

Ok so i have only heard bad things about the quality of virtika, I am looking for reviews of their gear.

Things like wind bleeding, water proofing, warmth and durability,

THANKS! Comments and bumps = K+

I was impressed by it. For bigger baggier gear it's well made. If you get the insulated version it's really warm. Like wearing a sleeping bag to ski. The only issue I had was a slight hole In one pocket but that wa probably my keys. It's not going to compare to $500 arcteryx jackets but compared to the more value branda it stands up very well in my opinion.

thanks for the input. Just wondering how many seasons you have had your jacket for?

I've been using a Virtika jacket for 2 seasons (coming on 3) and it is very quality. I usually ride hot so I have the shell version. Durable, stylish, and very windproof/waterproof.

When I decide to upgrade to a new jacket, I am sticking with Virtika.

I had the virtik shell pants and all of the waterproof tape ripped out of the inside of them. The quality of them is complete shit

Seam tape can come off any garment. I have seen an arcteryx less then a year old where half the tape had come off. What did virtika do to help you?

They sent me a new pair which ended up having the same exact problem. To better clarify myself virtika has great customer service and I love them as a company, but there products are just not very quality and at the end of the day that's all that really matters.

Well at least they made it right. I would say the quality is on par if not actually better then quite a few of the cheaper brands. My stuff held up really very well but there will always be some issues but the important thing is what after sales a company offers if you do run imtoproblems.

I have a V3 jacket from a few seasons ago. I had some issues with one of the zippers that connects the sleeve to the vest, it would always unzip itself and fall off. the zipper ended up breaking all together and i sent back the sleeve, they sent me two in return. since then i have had no problems with it. I really like the jacket, I can layer under it if i need to be warmer and it has lots of vents so i can cool off when i need to. It is a few seasons old now so it has a bit of wear and tear but it has held up great for me, but i know they have also come a ways since then so im not sure how relevant my input is now..

I have their signature pants. Super warm. Really baggy and sick. I also like the bib on them cause I didn't have to buy new suspenders. Great pants and great quality

Hahah that's crazy, I had the exact same thing happen to me with the hole in the pocket. My phone had fallen through and I thought I had lost it. Turns out it just fell through the hole and was in between the shell and the insulative layer on the pants. Other than that, I love my pants. Super warm.

Definitely a quality brand. I bought a coat from them about 3 years ago and its still in great condition. Like stated above, it is incredibly warm with a lot of vents and zip off sleeves for those spring laps

One of the elastic waist straps on my signature pants snapped off but I sewed it back on and haven't had any problems since.

Glad you guys like our gear. To address a few things:

1. Yes, the sleeves on our V3 jackets would unzip themselves. This isn't a big deal, just rub a little candle wax on the zipper ends and the zipper will stay put. For all models of jackets since V3 we have locking zipper heads so this isn't a problem anymore.

2. Yes, we had some issues with some seam tape coming up in high stress areas. We now have a new factory that uses higher quality tape, hotter applicators, and has better overall quality. We also have a new diamond tech crotch so our pants are now literally the strongest in the world.

You'll love you new stuff, it's come a LONG way!

Can't really argue with this post. On top of this I love my swestshirt. Only piece I've had but it doesn't disappoint. Unfortunately it got too small. Time to take advantage of pre orders

Gonna be honest here, love them. Was legit a saga addict for years and then virtika (fd) had a sale and pants were 60 bucks so i picked up two pairs. Lasted me longer and fit so much nicer. But the point I want to get across is the fact that they are so much warmer and cozier than anything I've ever ridden..saga, oakley, orage, armada. Highly recommended. Also not every 10 year old kid rocks it

I'm gonna go ahead and get a full virtika setup for this coming year for myself, my old quicksilver coat is not waterproof and is falling apart on the inside. Anyone who has owned their stuff, how big would XXL and XLT be for outerwear on a guy thats 5'10''? I'm definitely looking for a really baggy style.

I'm 5'11 and 170lbs in winter and XL is very big on me. It's very baggy but the suspenders do a great job holding up the pants, without the suspenders they are huge round the waist. I would say unless your a really bulky guy xl should be fine.
