Views on Gauging Ears... and other pierecing.

Ok so i have been gauging my ears for about a year now... and im at about a 2g, (little bit smaller then a pencil) and i have been getting mixed reviews people can never really agree on if they like them or not... And i'm curious to see what you guys on NS think.. I thnk i should be able to do what i want to my ears... but every one else seems to think shits gross...

What do you guys think?

Dose any one else have any type of gauge?
 
I'm not personally a huge fan of big guaged ears, but then again my opinion doesn't matter. Neither should anyone else's. If you like it, do it.

The only thing to think about is that one of these days you probably aren't going to want holes the size of quarters in your ears. Depending on what you want to do for a career, having big holes in your ears might not be in your best interests.
 
generally, i think piercings, especially gauges, make people look really scary and retarded. People do not like approaching kids with gauges. My cousin has huge ones, and he just looks like a moron. MY suggestion is that if you ever want to have a decent job, get rid of them. I seriously doubt anyone would wanna employ someone with gauges.
 
i totaly agree and understand where your comming from... but i think i realllly have one of the few jobs that its ok to have guages.. i mean my head manager was pusing 2 1/2 inches... when i was hired... but i really dont wanna work here my hole life..
 
You narrow minded idiots should look yourself in the mirror, piercings etc. has nothing to do with career. and if it does, move away from there fast and come to europe. i have never had any problems with my ear lobes over here, but then again i dont wear cloths that could fit a bear, that looks a bit silly you have to agree.
 
i like small tunnels but thats about it. plugs and everything up to those are kinda dumb. but heres a pic for shits and giggles

Thats the thing im not starved for attention at all... you cant even see my ears cause my hair is soo long... i am just wondering what pll think about guages in general.. and hoonsetly if you do research you know that earlobes do close back up as long as you dont stretch to a certian point... and im not close to that point yet.
 
im about to gauge mine again. not super big like a 4 or 6. the comment about wearing clothes the size of a bear is really good. i give props to you even though i wear hugge clothes, i am 6'2'' its not like im still 5 foot. i like the way they are up to 0's if u can pull them off.
 
i personally like them a lot when they aren't super big.

i had mine stretched to a 00 and i liked them a lot, i had tunnles and then a got a pair of plugs that looked like big diamonds. but my rents made me take them out ... =(
 
I'm at 4g and haven't gotten anything but compliments so far...I may go to 2g soon. I didn't stretch my ears for attention, I did it just because I like it. I can think of far less committing ways to get the same amount of attention, so that argument is kind of invalid. And as far as jobs go, there is some legitimacy in the idea that it may detract from your ability to get a job. Call me an idealist, but I don't really want to work in a place that will reject my merits only because of the way my ears look.

i think gauges are cute as long as theyre not absolutely huge. i mean like 0 is still tasteful but nothing bigger than that. it just depends on who you are, i dont have them but i have 6 in one ear and 4 in the other plus a tattoo on my cartilage. and i dont think it's scary at all - but i dont use gauged anythuign pretty much except for my rook. like i just have a simple diamond stud in my conch, cartilage, and lobe piercings.

also, drew, i have visible tattoos and piercings and i have to cover them when i go into job interviews and internships. remember, bosses still arent from our generation yet, so the lawyers you're talking about probably have to take them out when they'r actually working. i know some interviewers have tactics like dropping a pen and asking you to pick it up, so they can see if you have a tramp stamp or others when your clothing lifts up (they do this in nursing)
 
i dont like pierced ears at all and would never get one. thats just my 2 cents. i only think they look good on black people with giant diamonds lol
 
I like the though of stretching but i dont have my ears pearced, If I was to stretch me ears i would mostly wear wood plugs alittle smaller then a pencil. only problem is im not a huge fan rings and shit, i think they look tacky. I just like the idea of haveing holes in my lobes. any sudgestions so i dont have to looke like a beaner for 6months before i wear some wood. and for careers, i wouldnt want to work somwhere that doesnt let the emploies express them selves, i can understand tatoos on faces might turn away customers but earlobes shouldnt be a big deal...unles you can put your arm through your lobe the holes soo big
 
there pretty fucken retarded and look pretty shitty for the most part why would u want to make a hole in your ear lobe? get a peircing which u can take in and out and not look like a moron.
 
i think it looks really stupid, but part of that could be because the kids that do it usually have that whole ensemble of scene/emo/goth/indie/whatever going on, and i dont like that
 
this is just my opinion but.... think about it your going to be this older guy whos trying to look respectable and your going to have huge holes in your ears that everone can see.
 
Depending on what your body is like, you can go to 0g or even slightly larger and they will heal back. If you go bigger and they don't go back there is always the option of surgery, which would suck, but you can still revert to normal lobes.
 
fail. well if u go from a 14 to like a 6 in a day or 2 and it tears, then you have holes. but if u do it how ur supposed to do it you can go 0 or even 00 and have it heal back fine.
 
My friend had gauges the size of a pencil and he took them out about 1+1/2 ago and they closed up decent it kinda looks like a spider crack going away from a normal closed piercing. So its not completly permanet as long as you keep the size down
 
gauges are gross in my opinion i bet it would hurt to.

i just got my ears pierced last week and i really like the way it looks im just waiting for my holes to stay open so i can get some big diamond studs
 
i think that it looks really weird. But dont listen to what we have to say, do what you like. imo any guy who is older than 35 and white with earings just looks like an ass clown

for girls the only piercing should be in her ears nowhere else. well no thats not true. the nose is fine and her tounge. thats it
 
Piercings are cool if your a chick. Every once and a while I'll get really drunk and let someone pierce my ear, but I always take that shit out in like a week. It looks pretty gay.
 
but really i agree with this. Only except the fact that tounge rings are dumb. You can't even feel it when you get you dick sucked and it makes girls look like whores. It's only for attention. Same goes for clit rings, its cool until the girl your hooking up with has one then the only thing you can think of is if you are going to have AIDS in the mourning. I once had a girl tell me that she only fucked 2 guys but just so happened to have a clit ring......yea ok whore.

so ive never gotten my ears pierced/gauged but wanna, do i have to get them actually peicred first or can i start out with just small gauges? also will the gauges rip out if im playin rugby?

its not really my thing but I know people with some big ass gauges, I just have my ears pierced but I never wear earings so I think they closed up
 
Honestly i think i would respect you more if you made it through.. mine are not that big yet.. but stillll i think thats hilarious.
