Vids/Pics being viewed are all.....old?

If you look at the right side or your screen, you will see that the videos and pictures are probably all old and dated by at least one or two years. I can't really imagine users going back and finding old videos to watch every hour of everyday for what seems like a while now. Not that it's a big deal, but I liked the concept because it helped me find cool, new edits that didn't require me to search through the top rated section for quality videos/pictures to watch. Sometimes I like to watch the "Vintage" edits but most of the time I enjoy watching new edits. So, can it be fixed?, maybe? please?

yeah i just looked at the recently viewed photos thing and 3/5 were from 2002 and the others were from 2005 and 2011

then the videos were mostly from 2006, so wierd
 
Oddly enough, I promise you every single item in that list is actually what has been viewed recently.

We find it odd too that so much old stuff shows up in there.

I think that we may tweak the display to show something else in the future, but for the time being the media being watched views are telling you what people are watching.

I guess people like to check the archives once in a while. Makes sense in summer.

 
I've been noticing that a lot lately as well. All these things from 06 and 05. some of them are fun to watch, but others are just horrible
 
Well, it is a photo of Reedy, who was pretty hot right now once upon a time.

Additionally, something will tend to stick up there if people keep looking at it. Every time something gets viewed its being viewed. Because of caching there is a slight delay on how the list is rendered, so it could be just getting all kinds of views as people share it around.

You might be right as well (other poster) about the google searches. This isn't based around membership, so anyone looking at them will generate the view.

Overall I actually kind of think that those modules are mediocre at best. They were a good short-term solution (and lifted the idea from porn sites) - but when you're a more regular user it isn't as helpful.

I think really something more like top rated would be of interest.
