Videos and photos don't show up in the 'latest' stream

So this could be a genuine problem or the dumbest thread I'll ever make... I guess we'll find out

Ever since I've been on NS, whenever I upload a photo it almost never shows up in the latest feed (I think one or two might have been an exception). Not matter what I try it doesn't seem to show up. Occasionally I also have this problem with videos, although much less frequently (maybe one or two haven't shown up in the feed). Can anyone help? Any advice, ideas? If there is no simple solution can an NS person look into this?
 
Step 1 - check if set to private.

STep 2 - look at what category its in. Stuff like People or Misc. don't show up on the homepage because they're often populated with too much garbage.

Step 3 - send me a link (or let me know which one in your account) of an offending photo and I'll check.

Okay - didnt even know private existed - where is it and how does one change it?

It could possibly be the category, I know I put a video under misc ad it didnt show up. I had a photo under summer and it didnt show up either though...
 
I'm on mobile right now so I can't link anything, although one of the photos in question should be my most recent photo jibbing a backyard rail with the sun behind me. I dont have many photos on my account so hopwfully that helps!

Yeah I think that it was simply the fact that summer doesn't show up on the homepage, or you had it set to private. I changed it to 'rails'.

We need to totally overhaul the categories and which ones show up, as it made a lot more sense before but things have changed so much its getting tricky to just stick with the old simplistic categorization.

Thanks Bishop; I never realised certain categories did and didnt show up until you said it earlier. I'll have to figure out where to check if things are set to private or not too.

Im sure you can add that to what I'm sure is a very long 'to-do' list! Haha

Yeah sorry, a lot of this stuff isn't really well publicized.

That To-Do list has about 3 years worth of work on it at all times. :) Freaking hell.
