Video/youtube question

Does anyone know how to take videos off of youtube or even off of NS and save them to view in quick time or itunes or anything so i can watch them with out being connected to the interent?
 
Uhh, on NS you can just right click the file name and hit save target as, and itll download the file, im not sure but it might work for youtube, dont know though.
 
I dont know what i mean, this chick has a comp in one of my classes and she is always on youtube and she downloads videos on to her windows media player, i have a mac and have quick time player, and itunes and i was just wondering if there was any way to save/download videos off of youtube or NS that i can watch later when i'm not online??
 
For newschoolers, when you go Media ---> videos ---> then click a video you want you'll see a link to the page wth the video on it, it will have a bunch of comments, rating, who the skiers are and the photographers, you right click on that link with your mouse, and then a bunch of options come up. Click 'Save Target As...' and save it to your computer, a window will then come up and show you the download process, then it will be in the folder you saved it in and will either play as a windows media or quicktime file...
 
idk if im making sense or not, if its already a windows media file or quicktime file it will work, but if its youtube embeded or flash then use what was stated above. sorry if i was more of a nuisance then a help lol.

suppose you want to dl this video -->

simple replace 'youtube' with 'voobys' and you get a dlable swf file

as such -->http://www.voobys.com/watch?v=0gqkIickfPI

then using this program -->http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/

you can convert the file into something itunes and your ipod (if video capable) can playback.
