Video Park 09

5 terrible jumps, then an up rail and trap box set up in the dark so you couldnt film unless your camera had xenon headlights, a 45 foot jump that they somehow botched so hard that you had to go as fast as you would if it were a 70 foot jump, a inch and a half diameter downrail with pretty much a ride on lip and 12 foot drop at the end, a flat box, a skinnier flat box, a c rail on a bank that was too mellow, an up/down rail that was kinda ok, and a barrel jib, which, incidentally, was the funnest thing there cos you could jump over it.

i had fun...?

that trap box and up box had some big potential but it was real dark and both of them were a little tilted.. i really wanna go back during the day sometime and film on those 2 if they set it up better.

jump was actually 62 feet from lip to knucke and you should prob calm down because we only had two days to build the park in weather that was sometimes 20 below

Damnit mark, calm your shit.

Yeah it was pretttty hyped, but I actually thought that jump was loads of fun. And the sesh on that downrail and flat bar/box thing was pretty fun. Decent work for a park crew that is almost all unpaid kids doing it because they love it.

my apologies...
im bitter because i had a separated shoulder and no one wanted to hit the jump with me!
let me rephrase...
landings of the jumps at the top were not very good, although i dont think they were intended to be used to the videopark setup. the last one was a great time though because it was fun to hit a stepup going really fast, no one builds those anymore.
then those rails...they looked like a great time, dont get me wrong, but more light on them would have made them a lot better, especially for filming. they were also set up in a way that you could not have hit the jump afterwards.
i had a great time on the jump personally, however, snowboarders seemed to have a lot of trouble making it over the knuckle without starting a little ways above the redbull entranceway. if the knuckle was a bit lower, i think it could have been better. i didnt realize the jump was that big, i guess it didnt feel like it because it was not especially poppy.
the rails at the bottom were good, i just couldnt come off that downrail because it would jar my shoulder and put me in heaps a'pain.
i just wish it hadnt turned into a flatbar session.
im sorry for my initial denouncement of the event...i had a good time, there were just a few things i wouldve liked to be different is all.
