I'm basically a red neck when it comes to technical stuff like this, any of ya'll got a good idea on a starter camcorder that's got good res easy to use light compact and basically all in all gonna be easy for me to use? I realize I could dump huge coin and get a fish bowl lense n stuff but I'm jus doing this for fun. Anyways thx for ne help.

canon optura, and its a fish EYE lens, not fish BOWL haha. fish bowl is what you do to your car.

go to wal*mart, and pick out something that fits in your meaty hand right. For your price range the quality is basically all the same.

i started with a trv 140 that is digital-8 and i think that the trv250 would be a nice cam for starting...and 199$ is a good price
