Hey my friend and I were looking to edit some clips and were looking for a good editor with features such as slow mow, add music, fades, effects, all that jazz that every edit has. Any editors you guys really like? Was also looking to see if there was any free ones out there but all suggestions are welcome. Thanks everyone!

Don't pay for anything unless you plan on selling your work. I'd say start with the suggestions above, torrent them or whatever, once you find something that works for you and you could see yourself taking the time to master, look into it further.

I personally use Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, I have a torrented version and will continue to use the torrented version until I can bring in money through my videos which may not be for a while.

I've used Sony Vegas which I found outdated and confusing to use.

Final Cut is similar to Adobe however many have gone from this to Adobe due to some poor development by Apple.

The simple and beginner softwares are Windows Movie Maker (trash) and iMovie (junk, but not trash)

I agree, Adobe Premiere is a pretty solid program all around. Also make sure your computer can handle editing HD videos.
