Hey does anyone know of any video editing classes that I can take? Planning on making some sick edits this winter and don't have a lot of experience with video editing. Thanks.

Yeah I've tried that. I got a better underestanding but I don't quite have the skill that I would like from just watching YouTube vids
 
If you're looking for a class there are some on lynda.com, I think it's only $30 a month and you can sign up for courses in your own time. The payment keeps you motivated to learn.

Learning video editing for me was just, watching videos to get an idea of what I want to do, then looking for a tutorial to do it, then slowly just finding all of the little things that I uncover. You just have to keep on doing it then after it is super easy and fast.

Yeh OP do this. Sounds to me like you want a 'get rich quick' scheme and want someone to show you how to be good.

You gotta learn how to be good.
 
Move to media and arts. But youtube is your friend, 80% of everything i know is from youtube. Watch edits, find ones you like, observe the style, and attempt to mold the things you learned into your own edit. Don't copy tho, people know it, people hate it, and people will call you out on it. Don't overdue the slo-mo.
 
all you have to do is just practice, make sure you get B roll while you're skiing for the beginning of the video, edit to the beats of the music, and when the main section of the song starts (after the intro) start showing the skiing tricks. This is my Season Edit from last year if you want to see what I mean:
 
I used to use IMovie but a friend told me how to get adobe premiere pro which is a lot better. You have to make an account and get a free trial, and then download Adobe Zii to patch the free trial when they run out (look it up for more detail). I haven't done much with premiere pro but like others said if you ever want to know how to use something look it up on youtube. Adobe premiere pro also works really well with After Effects which allows you to do a lot of creative stuff.

This. If you haven't looked into Lynda.com yet, I also suggest it. YouTube is great since it's free, but a lot of tutorials are a waste of time or hard to follow. The tutorials on Lynda are organized by skill level, and they are in-depth from industry professionals.
 
just practise, get more experience and look stuff up if you don't know how to do something, don't waste money on some course you could find on youtube for free.
 
Just keep editing and filming videos, I go through my older videos and see how crappy they are compared to now.

Also get Davinci Resolve like OP said. It's free and I use it once in awhile, mainly for color grading but its a great editing software for free and will help you switch over to Premiere or Final Cut in the future.
