What video editing software would anyone recommend For apple or windows?

I tried adobe premiere and didnt like it.. now I am using Sony vegas movie studio and it kicks ass

Adobe After Effects and Sony Vegas. Sony vegas is a dream you cant go wrong with it and although after effects is confusing if you learn it a little theres a lot you can do with it

Windows Movie Maker is an excellent program. I'm startled it's free.
