besides premier what are some good programs?

im looking for one that has a lot of good transitions and nice text.

what about 'photoshop' is that premier? but yeah there is somthing called 'picture it publishing' on some program that is an alternative to MS OFFICE called MS WORKS. There is also something called Photo fantasy that sux badly and is very gay looking.

Video editing, not Graphical editing.

FinalCut and Avid are two others.

wow final cut 4 pro looks so amazing, its all done in real time so you don't have to Render

ya final cut is for mac, your best bet is to use adobe Premier, you wont find anything for a pc than that. Macs make better computers for video editing and animation. i really want one

I use Windows Movie Maker 2 for making small vids - it does everything I need it to - download it from Microsoft's site. I hear Apple's iMovie is the best freeware out there, but I think it's Mac only.

Of course you could get a cracked version of Premiere for free, but a few friends of mine have it and it looks way too complex for the kind of stuff I'm wanting to do.

 
right now im' using adobe premiere, but i'm having some problems figuring it out and shit, but it's not TOO difficult for the most part.

and at school i use iMovie, which sucks dick, but hey, it's an editing program none the less

premiere for cutting and what not, after effects for text and animation, illustrator for titles
