travis, my professor for intro to material science said, his wife liked the music "with a lot of boom boom" he said that it could create unwanted stress on the car. Could you elaborate on this phenomena of stress on materials? He made it sound like materials could break or fail, is this true?
 
Well Petey, Jake and I just watched a myth busters about that a couple weeks ago. They had the best speakers, subs and amps you can buy and the car survived. The car was stationary though. High frequency sound can create some residual stress in steel due to the vibrations.
