Do you need a video card to upload videos?? i am having trouble uploading videos and wondering if that could be it

no just upload them off the camera to the computer

i use firewire, but the picture is choppy when i upload is it because i dont have a video card.

sounds about right^ i dont think you can have a working puter withought a vid card but you probably have a shitty one that is like built into your motherboard. get a ATI Radion 9200 with 128mb for $70 and you will be fine

Without a video card, you would have absolutely nothing on your monitor. how old is the comp?
