im hoping to get one for Christmas, i would liek a hiugh quality one but not toooo expensive.. nothing over $800

fish - eye lense would be sick.. easy upload transfer to computer as well. and what video editting software do you use?

Go for a panasonic gs camera. like the 320 im pretty sure thats a good one

theres the kenko fisheye for that 40 bucks or a baby death which is 300

i got a HDR HC5 for 700 US (im in canada, so it was actually cheaper) which is high def and sick and small, and hten i got a Century MKII fisheye (The Death lense) for 300 (regular 600) its a sick setup for under a grand.

get a Canon GL-1 You can get one used with a fisheye for like 800

Go for the pani PV GS 180 through 500. they are solid cameras that won't blow the bank.

for like $1000ish you can score a panasonic dvc-30 which is a reallllly sick camera for the price. I know it's out of your price range, but if you can manage to get that it'd be worth it so I figured I'd mention it.

Word to the Panasonic love.

Im super stoked on my GS320. Its a little light, but for around $500 you get 3ccd color, Optical image stabilization, Mini DV Versatility and probably the easiest camera to computer transfer ever...USB/Firewire.

im starting to look into the hv20 seems like a real nice camera and the footage that ive seen from it is real good quality specially for a 700$ camera. im between that and the gs500 because from what ive read and seen in reviews both are pretty legit cameras and the footy off of both are real nice

our panasonic gs320 arrived yesterday, but couldn't test it yet i hope i can give you more information after the weekend but from that what i heard it is a very good cam for that money
