I am currently trying to figure out what kind of video camera to get. I'm not willing to spend much more than $300 and I want to use it for mainly filming skiing. I'm not even sure which features I need to focus on getting. Any help? For instance, should I get HD? Also, I did searchbar this but nothing I saw was very current. Oh, and finally, I use a mac if that matters at all.
 
fail on a couple parts.

I can name at least 3 other forums that there is an active what camera thread. Also HD for under $300? Not likely.. Also try media and arts.. but my guess is for such a low price range you are going to probably want a panasonic gs-320.. Nice 3ccd beginner camera..
