Video camera lenses

can you put lenses on any video camera? because on the packages on ebay they come with lenses and i was wondering how they would attach

im not sure, but it comes as a package, so its like an slr camera where it goes by thread size?

you don't buy lens like slr cameras, they are CONVERSION lens that are basically something you screw onto the front of the preexisting lens. there are threads on the on the lens that they screw right into super easy. search google for what fits your camera.

The thread size for that is 37mm. If you're looking to get a lens for the cam, I would recommend a Wide Angle and a fisheye (no follow cam with the fish, though).

What's your budget?

As far as the packages on eBay, I would not recommend getting one unless you're really looking to go for cheap. They're just offering a bunch of generic lenses in the packages that I don't really feel are worth spending money on. You're much better off on ordering a few higher quality lenses from B&H and getting a much better end video product.

i used to have a kenko .43x semifisheye that i believe was 37mm threading, and it was super sick and really cheap. like $70 online. most of my older pictures in my profile were taken with it.

I'm pretty sure that Jensen has this lens. You can get it online for about $45, haven't checked the legitimacy of the places I got those prices from, though. That's a good lens for cheap, here are some other choices you have though.

Fisheye

The best fisheye you can get for under $100, take out the Macro to make it wider - Kenko 37mm 0.42x Fisheye Lens with Macro

The one I linked to at top is also a good, albeit less wide choice.

Lastly, unless you want to spend $350 on a lens (which I'm positive you don't), you can get the Century Baby Death

Wide Angle

Here's your overall best choice for an inexpensive wide angle. There's also a Raynox Snap-On that is inexpensive, but that thing is a piece of crap. Get this and you'll be happy.

There you go, hope it helps.

yeah, that is the lens i have... i remember paying more for it, but i bought it like 5 years ago. i would highly recommend it. works so good for follows and is such a good value.

Listen to SteezWrecka. The raynox is a really good lense for the price. It has no vig and its mad cheap.A Mini death lense(Century optics) is the best lense out for both your camera and the bigger version for 58mm lenses. The only thing is that their expensive.Im sure you would want to pay $350 on a lense for your camera.
