my brother bought an HD dvc 1080p video camera a little bit ago and i use it to film him skiing. but every time i make edits the quality just looks like shit. What should i look for in buy and good cheapish HD camera. heres some footage.

Well first off, Media and Arts. Second, Facebook always destroys the quality of videos; How serious about filming are you?
 
Well it may be due to how you output your video. What kind of editing software do you use? And how is the quality on your computer without any editing?

Things you might be doing wrong;filming in low qualityconverting your videofiles and losing resolution in the processExporting files in the wrong format/resolution(experiment with what works best, i usually export my gopro HD footage in 720p wmv files and that works best in both quality and size of the files....)
other:facebook doesn't display full HD videoslook into something like vimeo for better performanceAnd right after uploading your video might look like crap because the servers are still processing it ....
