Video Camera handle for follow shots

Has anyone tried to make one of these out of a cut and shaped ski pole. Can you bend aluminium neatly if you heat it up enough.

Will it take the weight and be sturdy enough.

I have found that if you take a clothes hanger ( one of the metal ones) and bend it and shit, you can fit the bent end into the female port for a video light on the top, then the back part can look around and connect on the bottom. it doesnt work the best but its all good, does the job

just use your tripod for follow cams to...helps balance out the weight

Made that in about 30 mins (including driving to hardware store).

also, no heating was necessary... just a vice and some elbow grease. 1/4" aluminum.
