Victoria Skimboard Help

So I'm in Aliso right now and love skimboarding. I need something to start riding the waves. Would the Vic Foamie do the trick or is it worth it to shell out the extra cash for the Ultra. I still need to buy traction pads too. Thanks for any help.

extra money for the ultra or a poly. skip on the traction pad if money is a big factor. Also, check out victoria's website for sales.

I recently bought the victoria foamie(patchwork) and it rides great. that's what I would recommend just put wax on it if you need extra grip

the foamie's okay but the ultras and polys are way better. if you can i'd splurge for the poly, or at least the ultra (which is the shape of poly, materials of foamie vac right?). the poly kicks dicks though, if you can afford it id say go for it for sure

no. do not skio the traction pads. if money is tight the foamie will fit you fine and you could get a traction pad. will be alot easyer learning with a traction pad.

yeah it looks like theyve improved it some (not to say it wasnt legit before) id say go for it with a trac pad

that's fine for flatland shit but he is/we are talking about "real" skimboarding, wave riding, a sport where you definitely get what you pay for

Surprisingly, none of the shops had the ultra in stock. I wanted it today, and just went with the foamie. It worked fine. I'm not even good enough to tell the difference anyway I guess. Thanks for the help though.

I have the poly and it's awesome, i had a foamie but somehow it got waterlogged and eventually sagged and snapped. I got a 75% discout from Victoria on my poly due to that though, so I guess i didnt mind
