Vibes? Eternal powder after death?

Whenever someone dies it is hard, and when it is within the skiing world the tragic event seems to make its way onto the NS Ski gabber. I've noticed a trend recently of responses that I'd like to inquire about. My purpose is to start a discussion, not a hate thread, of why people say what they do and think what they do. So first, I don't understand the whole vibes deal. Is that like thinking nice thoughts towards them? Is that saying you are praying for them without having to say praying? Thoughts? Secondly, I have seen lots of responses like "right now he is ripping a mountain of endless powder..." Why do you think so? Interested in the responses.

My normal post is something along the lines of vibes to the family, because i know on several occasions the family are sometines shown the thread and take pride in knowing that a community is marking the loss of one of there own. If theres a chance it gives some friends/family some form of fulfillment/help grieving its worth doing in my books.
