Versatile Fat ski as a second pair???

I want a second pair of skis for pow AND park. I ride pretty much all park right now, but that's only from lack of choice. My second pair just has to be better than my skogens for pow (by the way I'm 5'10' and 155 lbs).

Im currently leaning heavy to the mo ship flites because I hear they work well in the park as well. Im pretty mid weight, so would those be good or do i Need the TI's??

Any opinions would be good, cause as of right now I pretty much have none. The only pow ski Ive tried are the pockets so I've got nothing else to compare to.

Also, the shop i work at carries Salomon, Rossi, Dynastar, 4FRNT, and we carry k2 boards so I mgiht be able to order a ski from them if I need to, we also carried Line last year so I might be able to get a pair from them.

scratch's all the way...the BC stomps everywhere, and if you're looking for economy, the FS isnt as fat but still makes a damn good all mountain ski

motherships are nice, but they're soft as a noodle. i dunno if that's what you like. have you looked at the gotamas?

what's the flex feel like on bc's?? Are they hard under foot, soft in the tips?

I would go with K2 Seth Pistols (or maybe wait for the vicious).

they're way sick, they're a little fatter and have a little more overall stiffness to them. they rock just about anything. and the twin tip comes up huge in the back from ridin switch in the pow pow, i'd say they're your best bet

my decision besides park ability will be swayed a lot by the flex pattern. I like a lot of flex and to be able to bend my ski easy. i got the skogens right now, I like them, but they're a little too soft. Im also hesitant to go from the industry's softest ski to the hardest (volkls etc), not cause I dont like it but just that I dont know. Also, would it be weird skiing on a soft ski half the time, then a stiff the other half. I was thinkin that might be weird, heh, on the other hand it could be good depending on terrain and what im doin. basically, as i type more Im realizing I know less hahaha.

I would go with either the line pollard pro model or the volkl karma. karma is more backcountry oriented though.

go with the 180 MSP, that kind of skiing is what the MSP is built for

The Pollard seems a touch big at 186. For a fat ski and what I want it to do what do you think the biggest should be, i thought 180 ish.

The msp eh, ya, prolly, and I like how they flex, soft but not too soft. How would it differ in the park to my skogens for a 3 and for something like a cork 5?? and will they ride pow as good as as a bc or mo ship??

So mo ship 182's, or msp 180's so far...

Go with the K2 public enemy, they are great in the park and work well in pow too

eh voila

Freeskier reviewers all said the moship titaniums are much better than the flites, and they rock, I just got some 182's from scoot but haven't rode them yet

I shoulda bought that issue. wonder if it's anywhere on the freeskier site....

If you're biased towards a certain brand than buy it. Every company makes decent skis, it all depends on choice. If you like LINE go with Mothership, K2 go with Seth Pistols, ARMADA go with ARV, ect. I personally like K2 so I would go with the Pistols, they're a very versatile ski because of 14mm sidecut and a 95mm waist. And they're not a stiff ski either.

anyone know how the msp's handle pow in comparison to a true pow ski like the pistol, mo ship, bc, arv etc

Honestly now, too many choices, (obviously im just joking, just a little frustrated, wish I could demo) :

-arv, mo ship, pockets, bc, gotama, pistols, msp, pollard

Im goin for lighter, med-soft, useful in the park. Saying that I dont THINK that I need bc's, gotamas, ARV's, or pockets... keyword think

ive only got one pair of skis unless i wnat to use my old 10s but i got the msps and i couldnt be happier. they float pretty well throught the pow but probly not as well as the powder specific twins. they have champed the park so far. they are truly the 'everywhere ski' but if u already have a pair of park skis id go for the pistols or moships

wouldnt shit ya, you're my favorite terd

Pollards aren't really that long... the extra length is all in the tail, they're almost center mounted, so your really just getting used to extra ski behind you.

have you considered made'ns...sick pow ski, but pretty soft and able to be used in the park. i mounted my 198s at +4 and ride them everywhere...they're dope as hell

BC's or mo ships are my call.
