Yooo if you all check the weather, we're getting snow friday! Rain saturday on the floor but who knows, it might be more snow up on top of jay.

Preseason loops=win

its November. you don't need to be making a thread for this. it be one thing if it was september or october, but most of the country has got snow

Don't be a dick, it's the East Coast, and He and everyone else in VT is excited to go ride again.

That doesn't mean you have to be a dick. He's obviously just trying to spread the stoke. I feel it because I ski in VT.

So in celebration of the potential snow I'll end this post in:

JEEEEEAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!

you, sir, are retarded. most of the country has not gotten snow, and snow is awesome the first time it comes even if thats in december

probably not gonna be enough to build any kind of jib parks yet.. mt snow did it a few weeks ago, it was gone in like 5 days

"THURSDAY NIGHT MODELS SHOW LOW DEVELOPING WELL OFF THE NEW ENGLAND

Don't get too excited. Likely won't ammount to much if any accumulation.

The biggest factor is the cold weather and whether or not it will be enough to get anywhere other than Sunday River (ie- Mt Snow and Killington) to being open this weekend.

Next week is not looking too good either with above normal temperatures at least in the earlier portion of the week.

I don't think you understand weather patterns, just because it is more north doesn't mean it will get more snow all that really matters is where the moisture will set up and what the temperature will be when that happens. If there is a lot of cold air over Sunday river but no moisture being cold does them no good.

stowe has the benefit of the lake affect, resulting in extraordinary amounts of moisture combinging with the cold air and leaving tons of snow.

what dont i understand about weather patterns? i understand that in upstate maine, being alot closer to the canadian jetstream, there is alot colder air. southern vt absolutely does not have more snow than northern states

-K. Take off your hater pants there sure as shit isnt snow where I'm at. I was stoked when i heard it might snow this week.

Considering that Sunday River gets 167 inches annually per their website, you may want to reconsider your statement.

Here's a listing of Central-Southern Vermont resorts and their annual snowfall amounts

Killington -250"

Okemo -200"

Magic Mtn -180"

Stratton -180"

Mount Snow -156"

Your argument looks pretty weak with just 1 Southern VT resort getting less snow than SR.

Anyways, to be positive, the current weather forecast for the higher elevations of Killington is calling for 5-9" tomorrow afternoon. 3-5" down lower.
