so im looking at going to verizon and getting the plan for 39.99$. my one question is does that 39.99 include any texting outside of verizon? or do i have to get the extra 10$ for texting?

outside of verizon costs money. you still have to get a texting plan to text verizon people as well though. that covers your IN texting. then depending on how much you pay, you have so many messages to out of verizon people.
i have the like $20 a month unlimited to anyone plan.

any texting you need a texting plan which is $10 a month for 500 outside of verizon or $20 unlimited....at least thats how it is with my verizon plan....but you should call verizon and ask them and say you are considering sigign up and adding text...but your not sure if you will use it enough and blah blah and they might give you a month for free...but call...they will most likely give you something to try and get you to be with them...plus i think they have a thing where you can try it out for a month and if you dont like it you dont have to pay....call and ask....or go talk to a verizon person at the mall...

any cell phone company is gonna charge you extra for anything they possibly can man. I am paying like $250 a month for my plan right now, and it's unavoidable. I would change it if someone offered a cheaper plan, cingular wants $300+ and unicell wants even more.

i'm almost positive you dont have to pay for verizon to verizon though, thats thier whole scheme is get all your friend so you dont have to pay jack shit when your calling them or texting them. but it is what everyone else said with the 10 bucks thing,
oh yeah, deff. call them cas they will hand out free shit, we got a free trial of thier internet (cellphone plugs into computer and computer gets internet) for a month when we went on vacation to the middle of no where in georgia (dirtbike race) and it worked awsome, so then once the week was over we cancelled and only had to pay like 10 bucks or something.
