Verizon cellphone insure help...want to break on purpose

I want the new blackberry storm. I currently have the lg voyager. If I "accidentally" broke the phone, would they replace it in a new box without any hassels so I could sell it on ebay?
 
No, there's a 99.5% chance that you will get a refurbished phone. Phone companies generally don't issue brand new equipment on warranty or insurance claims.
 
ok i did the same thing and not they wont. first u need insurance and u pay 50 bucks for a new one and they send u the same exact phone.
 
yeah what he said.^^^^ i got my envy 2 in the summer and jump in my lake with it in my pocket. (not on purpose). i had to pay 100 bones to get a new envy 2....they told me i couldnt get a diff. phone.
the insurance company is a diff. company than your cell phone carrier (verizon, atnt ect.) so you prob wont be able to cut a deal with your carrier and those insurance companies are shady and will only give you the same phone you had orrr an older model. in my case i was told i might not be able to get the envy 2 but just the envy.

You will get the same phone. It's not worth it. Just wait until your plan offers an upgrade or buy it retail.
 
if youre on a plan with youre parents and they have an upgrade, you cna use it for your self, and you will pay the same amount that you would if you were using youre own upgrade. when my samasung double flip phone broke i sused my parents upgrade to get a env2 for 50 bucks.
 
they will send you a shitty refurbished phone for 50 dollars if you have the phone insurance. the only way to get a new phone is if the refurbished phone they gave you does not turn on like the one they gave me.
 
They told me you pay like 100 dollars for a new phone with insurance but if you sold it on ebay you would end up having to pay more because your contract is not up
