Vegetarians

Alright im sure a thread of this sorts been done before

But here it is. So I was talking to a friend and I said that there are many reasons for people to be vegetarians but the man reason I think is that they are attention seeking. They just want to be different.

What do you guys think? Am I right?

And last time I posted a controversial thread people tanked my Karma and rating. Lets be mature guys.

Uh no it mostly has to do with the fact that most animals you eat are slaughtered horrifically, live in the most disgusting conditions and aren't given a "life". Vegetarians are not attention seeking. Seriously, I know you will think your gay but lets be mature, read the book Skinny Bitch and read the vegetarian section. I'm not a vegetarian myself, but thats because I'm allergic to everything except meat basically so I don't have to worry really about glucose or anything with it. I once was a vegetarian though, I ate a lot of meatless product.

haha this guy

It couldn't be cause they are against animal torture/butchering right?

I think you just made this thread for attention

Am i right?

harry potter only got 60 points for fucking defeating voldemort when he was 11 years old. you think you can just toss around 200 points like its nothing, completely skewing the house cup? dream on. i name your points invalid, and take 10 points from... i'm guessing ravenclaw.

Petrificus Totalus!

Trolololol. When I was ages 13-15 I used to be a moderator on a Hogwarts chat site. I used to be a fucking nerd!

.....wait..

Haha not sure if that is as bad as my being able to answer every question on the trivia game at the release of the 6th book. People were getting pissed because I won all the prizes.

you show mw a dude thats a vegetarian and i'll show you a guy trying to get with a vegetarian

jokes of course

This.

I am vegetarian for multiple reasons. Some to do with spiritual, health, and beliefs in the current state of the meat industry.

Do you see me bragging about it? No

Do i tell everyone i meet? No, i generally avoid telling people

i'm sorry but you are naive. i am a vegetarian and not for one second did i think about receiving attention from being one. i normally don't even bring it up unless i am presented meat when i have to decline and resort to eating whatever else is on the table (not something cooked special). as for the real reasons to be a vegetarian, i know a lot of people, including me, who do it because of industrial farming which is disgusting and terrible for the environment. there is also the reason that animals live horrible lives and then are slaughtered in the worst way. so i would have to completely disagree with everything you said.
