Vegetarianism

I thought id see if there are any other vegetarian or even vegan skiers out there. Hell, if your as bored as i am right now, post a recipe or whatever floats your boat.

and sooo we meet again. just kidding.

i googled for you and found vegweb.com. although i assume you are looking for more personal recipes so here goes,

my favorite vegetarian meal would have to be:

take one tortilla, fill it with all kinds of vegetable goodness, then eat. black beans+ other stuff.

I had a bite of elk stew a couple weeks ago- you would've been proud. Only because it was local and sustainable though haha.

hahahahaha

i tried doing the veg thing but only lasted like 5 months. props to any long time veggies out there. my favorite meal was probably taking a ton of veggies (brocoli, snap peas, carrots, peppers, onions, etc) and stir fry them up in some kind of sweet sauce (teriyaki works great) and put it over rice. veggie burritos are pretty dank as well.

orry but fuck vegetarians if u are one then fine but fuck the ideas behind it.

meat is NOT murder (check out ur canine teeth)

Did you know that the act of killing an animal is not the only reason for being a vegetarian? For example.... it has nothing to do with why I don't eat meat. People like you need to do a little more research before you diss someones educated decision.

^wise words

ive been vegatarian for like 4ish months. It was prolly the easiest switch to make and im honestly not missing meat that much

I am a life member of PETA

people eating tasty animals...

(no hate, if you dont eat meat, thats cool, i just hate it when vegetarians try and crucify people who do eat meat.)

i don't care what people eat, i just don't want to eat meat...and its not because i cry over animals being killed for food, i just don't really like it

Nigga friend zucchini goes awesome with beer.

I'm not really a vegi because I eat some shrimp or lobster every once and a while but I was a vegan for like 4 years. Its a healthy lifestyle, vegi chicks generally want to sleep with you more, and being vegan (a lot more so than vegitarian) is basically the single greatest step you can take to personally save the world, save the environment, end world hunger, etc.

But yeah I love shellfish and sushi so y'know.

The carbon emissions given off in the raising and production of meat is so much more than that of vegetables. To help stop "global climate disruption" we should all try to become vegetarians for at least a few days of the week to lower our carbon footprint. Local Vegetables All The Way!!!!
Mad Props to people who are vegetarians all of the time, I know I can't do it....but I really respect it.

i am a pretty strict vegetarian. i try my best not to eat eggs or drink milk but i do end up eating foods with both in them cuz it is hard to tell and the cafeteria. but i honestly dont think i will ever eat meat again.

If anyone thinks you can't find a delicious "hearty" vegetarian meal, you probably haven't had a BBQ Veggie Burger at Grilla Bites. Holy shit it's sooooooo goood.

Meh, I can see and respect their choices, but hey, my mother is a 30+ veteran of the lifestyle. I enjoy meat, I just do, but I take options to get free range and humanly raised products when I can.

As for diet, after working in a grocery store for 4 months and constantly checking expiration dates when I stock stuff, I've kinda found myself moving away from the centers of the store and staying near the edges. Meat, dairy, vegetables (and beer). Whole foods and a little cooking has kind of taken over my diet, and to be honest, I really dont miss the processed shit when I can have braised asparagus and honey almond brussel sprouts on my plate in under 10 minutes.

Well we also aren't supposed to have world hunger, 7 billion people, food and water droughts, religious wars, rape and sex slaves, AIDS epidemics, malnutrition, pesticide related birth defects, extinction of new speces every single day, rising ocean temperatures, etc, etc.
Oh but wait we have canine teeth so it must be okay....

two slices of bread

one slice of raw tofu

your choice of bruschetta or salsa

= tofu sandwich. nutritious and delicious

i tried being a vegetarian once,i had one veggy sandwich for lunch (lettuce and cheese)then my dad made a sick ass steak for dinner that night and i was likefuck it.

ive been a vegeterian for one year, just remember to eat all kinds of green food, if you only eat different kinds of salads and stuff you wont be feeling so good, because you body will miss all kinds of fats and proteins. make all kinds of salsa mixes with beans, mushrooms and lentals, thats really good on tacos or tortillas. try looking for indian food recipies if you like food with a lot of taste. there are also all kinds of vege pasta, lasagne and pies. youll find it all on the internet :D and half the fun is cooking it.

you act like thats my fault, no i just have enough money to eat every day. im not gonna starve myself for the rest of the world when the rest of the world would do the same thing to me if i were in that situation

for a good recipe just go to wends and order a baconator, and then take literally everything off it, and im pretty sure the bun is vegetarian and so are the packets of catchup.

Tastey Catchup Sandwitch.

(its a secret family recipe so dont tell my mom)

I cant ever become I vegetarian.

I mean seriously give up burger , chili , tacos , tortilas , meat sauce, chicken nuggets, grilled chicken etc...

too much good stuff to give up.

I'm a vegetarian and have been for about a year. I go to a traditional culinary school and if I can do it there than anybody can do it. Honestly it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
